UDL Masterclass:

UDL-Informed Teaching, Learning, and Leadership

Course description

In this UDL Masterclass, you’ll analyze your current practices and values around teaching, learning, and leadership, and think through how UDL can inform those practices and values. You’ll also explore how the UDL guidelines can be used as a decision-making tool in leadership situations and how your leadership practice can continually commit to modeling the values and practices of UDL to include and engage all workplace learners.

Is this Masterclass for you?

This Masterclass is for you if you are leading in a post-secondary organization and want to deepen your understanding, modeling, and practice of UDL to support you, your colleagues, and your projects. Please note: leading doesn’t mean only being in a management position; UDL leaders are found throughout the organization.

What are the learning outcomes?

Each UDL Masterclass has a combination of shared and personalized learning outcomes. You will design your own personalized learning outcomes in consultation with the facilitator. The shared learning outcomes for this course are:

  1. Use a UDL approach to analyze your current practices and values around teaching, learning, and leadership

  2. Apply the UDL guidelines as a decision-making and strategy tool in real leadership situations

How will you be assessed?

Assessment will be ongoing and focus on providing mastery-oriented feedback that guides you toward individual growth and mastery rather than a predetermined standard. There will be options for self, peer, and facilitator led assessments. The shared and personalized learning outcomes will guide the feedback and assessment.
