Transformative UDL training and consulting for college and university educators.

For post-secondary educators to effectively use Universal Design for Learning (UDL), they need to learn about how UDL really works in higher education settings. Like, really works. Not hypotheticals. Not a translation of what works in K-12. They want to go beyond the UDL basics. They want to learn how UDL helps tackle the nitty-gritty problems and amazing possibilities of teaching and learning in higher ed.

From academic accommodations to field based assessments, from external examinations to faculty work loads, the higher ed teaching and learning experience is unique. Educators want to go beyond the UDL basics, beyond the “flavour of the month,” to dig deep, ask tough questions, and wrestle with the complexities of how UDL works with post-secondary teaching and learning.

Faculty deserve to learn about UDL in ways that model UDL - including lowering threat, building community, supporting executive functions, and connecting big ideas with day to day practices.

From the important work of building buy-in, to custom faculty training, UDL Masterclasses, and all the way to UDL informed strategic planning, I help you rethink UDL integration in higher ed to create and implement a plan that truly works for you and your team.
